Kakao contains more than 1,200 active ingredients, and 10% of its dry weight is antioxidants. It’s also said that Kakao has more antioxidants than blueberry, goji berry, açai berry, red wine and pomegranate combined.
Cacao is also a rich source of magnesium, iron, chromium, sulfur, copper and zinc.
Probably the most unique properties of kakao have to do with sertonin and brain functions and feelings of well-being.
